Over the past 6 months, we have received a lot of comments about a live GPS tracker called SpaceHawk. When we first heard about this popular hidden vehicle tracker one of the first things that caught our attention was how (on paper) it seemed like the perfect real time GPS tracking device for consumers based on the product features. SpaceHawk GPS Arrives
When the SpaceHawk GPS arrived it was pretty easy to set-up. We simply charged the device via wall charge and then went online to activate the tracker. Since all real time GPS tracking devices require a monthly service obligation you need to keep a credit card on file, but what we really liked was that service plans were month-to-month. This was ideal for people who wanted to use the product to track a cheating spouse or find out if an employee was misusing a company vehicle.
We selected the basic plan for $24.95 a month which provides unlimited updates every 60 seconds.
Using The SpaceHawk To Track A Vehicle
After the SpaceHawk was charged and activated, we placed the device under a vehicle. Our first impression was it was fantastic how small the device was, but the best part about the design was the exterior magnetic mount. The reason? Most real time GPS trackers require a bulky pelican case that increases the size of the tracking device (making it more visible) and can interfere with GPS signals. This can cause inaccuracies in location data. The SpaceHawk easily grabbed onto the vehicle and we began tracking the vehicle from our mobile phone. Here are some of our first impressions:
- Wow! The surface magnet was super strong, and not visible.
- The online interface was very easy to use.
- SpaceHawk was very small and covert, making it ideal for anyone needing a hidden GPS tracker.
How Accurate Is SpaceHawk GPS?
The product states within 6 feet and we agree. This was a very accurate tracking device. In fact, we were able to see which parking space our car was in!
How Long Is SpaceHawk Battery Life?
The product claims 30 hours of wheels-in-motion drive time. When we tested the real time GPS tracker it was for about 5 days and we drove with the tracker on a car for about 14 hours total. So the product has good battery life. We would safely estimate the device should give most users about 2 weeks’ worth of data before the battery dies. However, one cool feature was the low battery life alert that will send out a text message or email when the device hits 10% battery power.
SpaceHawk GPS has good battery life for a consumer product, but we would recommend something with longer and stronger battery power for large businesses with more fleet management needs.
Features We Loved With SpaceHawk GPS Tracking System
There was a lot to like about this powerful little tracker such as the many driving reports, speed alerts, overall performance, and just the simplicity of the design. The online interface means there is no software to download, and the product provides lifetime access to GPS tracking data. This is great for businesses that want to see where an employee might have been on a particular day last week or last month.

SpaceHawk GPS really is the perfect tracker for people who want to find out if their spouse is cheating or if companies are interested in busting a problem employee. The device is very easy to use, and even if you struggle with technology products, there is a support team available 24/7.
